The 9 points a signature is checked on
| Point | What tradition favours | What it usually corrects |
|---|---|---|
| Baseline | Rising gently left to right | A falling line |
| First letter | Clear and slightly bigger | A tiny or unreadable start |
| Readability | Name recognisable | A pure scribble |
| Underline | One clean line below, rising | A line through the name |
| Ending | Up and forward | A stroke dropping or turning back |
| Dot | No dot after the name | A full stop at the end |
| Size | At least your normal handwriting size | A shrunken signature |
| Slant | Upright or forward | A strong backward lean |
| Cutting strokes | None through letters | Strokes crossing out the first letter |
These are the same 9 points in our Shubh Signature Review. For each one, your report shows what we see in your signature, what tradition says and how your new signatures handle it.

Signature and vastu
People who follow vastu often apply the same idea to their signature: movement should go upward and forward (towards growth), nothing should "block" or "cut" the name, and the signature should not end with a full stop. In practice, vastu signature tips and astrology signature rules recommend the same changes, which is why we check both in one review.
Where tradition says to start
Many families start a new signature on a shubh day, the weekday ruled by the planet of your moolank (birth number), often after a short practice in the morning. Your report names your day. See the full table in how to calculate signature numerology.
